How does the UltraClear® Laser Work? UltraClear™ Laser is a fractionated laser, which means it targets specific areas of the skin, leaving surrounding skin intact. This approach reduces healing time and enhances safety profile, while the fractionated area is easily adjusted according to concerns.
The UltraClear™ offers multiple modes to target different skin levels, allowing each patient to receive a customised treatment based on their specific concerns. Superficial issues like fine lines and pigmentation are vaporised using the 3DMiracl and Clear+ modes, effectively removing dull, damaged skin as a rapid laser peel. More significant issues are treated with controlled thermal energy delivered to themiddle dermal layers, increasing collagen and elastin production to revitalise the skin from the inside out. This process addresses deeper lines and wrinkles, atrophic acne scarring, ice-pick scars, and thin, crepey skin. Additional modes can be used to address skin laxity and tighten the skin.
UltraClear® laser offers various modes, meaning one session can address multiple concerns, making it the most adaptable ablative laser available on the market.
The “UltraClear” mode is the most sophisticated setting, combining a superficial and mid-dermal treatment at the amse time, in one pass. This makes the treatment faster and less painful, but also increases clinical efficacy, maximising results and reducing downtime. Precisely controlled thermal heating initiates the skin’s self-healing process, promoting the internal growth of collagen (neocollagenesis), elastin, and hyaluronic acid, resulting in smooth, clear and fresh new skin without synthetic products or needles.
How Long Does an UltraClear® Treatment Take? A full-face UltraClear® treatment takes just 30 minutes for a standard ful face treatment. Customized treatments, using doctor-only settings, may take up to 60 minutes and are exclusively performed by Dr. Grant. Additional areas such as the neck, décolletage, and hands can be added to your treatment or performed over time after your face heals
Is the UltraClear® Laser Painful? UltraClear®’s innovative MIRACL™ technology significantly reduces treatment pain, making it the most comfortable ablative laser on the market. The pain score for UltraClear® treatment is typically less than 3 on a scale of 10, whereas most other methods have pain scores greater than or equal to 6. Dr Grant compunds a strong topical local anesthetic cream, which is applied 60 minutes prior to your treatment. She may also prescribe a sedative if warranted—in this case, do not drive to your appointment. Deeper settings may require more significant anesthesia, which we will discuss during your consultation.
What is the Downtime for an UltraClear® Treatment? One of the key benefits of the UltraClear™ Laser is minimal downtime. Expect redness, swelling, crusted skin, and discomfort for the first 5 days. During this period, there is a risk of infection, so you must be diligent with hygiene and post-care. We will provide you with strict post-care instructions and a post-care kit. Most patients find that their skin starts to exfoliate naturally and peel off on Day 5, with the majority resuming social and work activities after 5 days. The skin will remain red, dry, and sensitive for a few weeks. Makeup or concealers can be applied after the skin has shed. If you have Laser Coring bumps will remain on the skin for up to 8 weeks.
When Will I Notice the Effects After My UltraClear™ Laser Treatment? You will notice clearer, smoother skin after the initial exfoliation of skin, with redness settling over the next few weeks, The skin will continue to improve over the next three months as collagen production increases and the skin remodels. We offer a complimentary course of Healite treatments to use in the 2 weeks post laser to reduce redness and inflammation, it’s also a good opportunity for you to check in with our dermal clinicians.
What Is the Recommended Treatment Course for UltraClear™ Laser? We recommend a series of 2- 3 ttreatments spaced two months apart. We offer a package price for three treatments, which can be discussed during your consultation. We also schedule a maintenance treatment 1-2 times a year, depending on your skin concerns, lifestyle and expectations.
Who is the Ideal Candidate for UltraClear™ Laser Treatment? UltraClear™ laser treatment offers remarkable benefits, particularly for patietns over 40 who have significant signs of sun damage such a pigmentation, thinnning skin, lines and wrinkles and skin laxity. If you have darker skin types, UltraClear is the most suitable ablative laser for you, as there is less risk of post inflammatory pigmentation.
