An innovative ‘newinjectable skin treatment targeting skin laxity is about to land on the Australian Medical Aesthetic market in September, and we are excited!

It has been in the overseas market for a few years with over 1.5 million treatments performed worldwide, including the UK and New Zealand, journal articles and evidence supporting an excellent safety profile and has won multiple awards.

Classed as a ‘bio-remodeller’, this medical product (we can’t advertise the name due to TGA guidelines) improves skin laxity and elasticity to renew your skin from within. It stimulates production of your natural collagen and elastin to prevent lines, wrinkles and optimise skin health and hydration.

Composed of both cross-linked and non cross-linked Hyaluronic Acid (HA) the innovative technology is patented. For the science buffs, this NAHYCO technology means it can be produced and stabilised without the use of chemical cross-linking agents, allowing it to ‘flow’ over an extended area to remodel the skin. This means that the technique for injection requires only a few set areas on the face. For patients, this means less pain and bruising, although we still advise a topical local anaesthetic prior to treatment for your comfort.

It’s different to dermal fillers, which work to “fill” lines and volumise the face, and is more like our favourite injectable - skin boosters - in that it hydrates skin and improves skin health, with the added benefit of targeting laxity via elastin stimulation.

This new treatment is the perfect addition to the collection of medical-grade skin treatments here at Thrive Skin Clinic. We have the ability to use it alone, or in conjunction with one or more other clinical treatments in a multi-modal, holistic approach to help our patients achieve real skin change.

We Don’t Age in One Dimension.

Skin has multiple layers, and they age in tandem.

Dr Jemima Grant explains it like this.

“We don’t age in one dimension. Skin has multiple layers, and they age in tandem. So while planning treatment, I always address the entire skin, not just the surface.

This innovative treatment gives us the ability to address the underlying causes of skin ageing by increasing skin proteins and tightening the skin structure, not just treating the visible symptoms.

As a progressive medical aesthetic clinic, this is music to our ears as we do not advocate overfilling the face.

How Does it Work?

This novel slow releasing hyaluronic acid treatment works by stimulating 4 different types of collagen and elastin. Over time this improves skin strength and elasticity and improves skin sag,  maintaining your natural facial structure, without causing excessive volume.

This characteristic makes it an ideal treatment for tightening areas such as the jowls, neck, decolletage, around the mouth and hands.

Best Candidates For Treatment:

The best candidates for this treatment are aged between 30 and 60, who are looking for a subtle and natural approach to preventing ageing, treating mild laxity, and improving hydration and glow.

If you are aged over 60, you can still have treatment, but your clinical outcomes may not be as pronounced. In this case, we recommend combining your treatment with other modalities such as Ultraformer III or PDO monothreads, prescribed homecare and regular laser treatments to maintain results.

How many treatments do I need?

Treatment usually requires two sessions 4 weeks apart. Occasionally, a patient may be advised to complete three treatments dependent on their assessment and medical background. One maintenance treatment annually is recommended to maintain results.

How do I book?

Due to the overwhelming interest, we have created a waitlist in preparation for arrival in September, 2022.

If you have previously been cleared for aesthetic treatments with Dr Grant, you don’t require a consultation prior to treatment.
For new clients, please book your initial consultation and assessment with Dr Grant as soon as possible.
Once launched, you’ll be able to book for your consult and treatment at the same visit.
